US State governments are applying their own incentives above and beyond Federal incentives for buying energy efficient appliances. Above is a simple to use website from the Department of Energy where you can go to find out about the rebate programs in your state. There is less and less reason not to toss out those very old inefficient appliances, especially when you add up the savings on your utility bill to the state and federal rebate programs! We can have the debate over embodied energy for manufacture vs operational savings, but if you are in the market anyway, make the smart decision and get energy efficient, comfortable and hopefully healthy appliances for your home before the incentivesĀ disappear!
For more information please visit theĀ Approved Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Programs website.
